He explains the role of each mule then drives showing the mules 'jumping the chain', a skill the drivers used in the 1880s. Program 2 (30 Minutes: "The Hidden Trail". We join an expedition to China Lakes Naval Air Weapons Station to re-trace the historic route of the 20 Mule Team dating back to teh 1880s. This portion of the trail has been closed off and preserved for more than 60 years. Ruts from teh original 20 Mule Team wagons can still be seen!
